"A number of close friends of [Arthur Huggins] assembled at the Maison Faide, 845 St. Nicholas Avenue, last Saturday evening to honor him with a bachelor dinner. The usual spirit of hilarity and good-fellowship characteristic of such occasions was augmented by the holding of mock services in honor of the passing of the guest of honor from the state of "single blessedness.""
