"The Young Women's Council held their first annual formal complimentary dance at the Savoy Ballroom last Wednesday evening. Over 500 of their friends were present. During the intermission, Minot Casang, Edwina Wilson gave an exhibition of tap dancing and trucking... The purpose of the club [is to supply] funds for education of Harlem youth."
