Allan Taub, administrative secretary of the American League Against War and Fascism, revealed the League's plans for their anti-war rally, set to take place 3 August in Harlem. Taub also told the crowd of 4000 people at Rockland Palace that internal peace in Harlem needed to be fostered and that the only way to combat the discrimination and persecution of African Americans was for Harlem residents to 'unite with your white brother who is fighting a battle against your common enemy, fascism and war'.
